Worship
Christians have met at St Mary’s to offer prayer and praise to Almighty God for over 700 years, and the Church continues this heritage today. Services at Drayton Beauchamp Church reflect the heritage of Anglican worship, using the Book of Common Prayer [1662] for Mattins and Evensong, and Common Worship [2000], in traditional language for the Holy Communion.

The services on Sunday at 10.45am include hymns and a sermon that develops, explores, and challenges the readings set for the day.
Sung Mattins is a Service of the Word, where beautiful liturgy and language help us to learn more about the loving nature of God.
Holy Communion takes up Christ’s command to share bread and wine with each other in remembrance of him.
Evening Prayer [evensong] on Monday is a said service, lasting approximately twenty minutes, providing a space during the busyness of the week to pause, to pray, and to listen to God. In Advent and Lent we use the ancient monastic office of Compline, in a candlelit service. Occasionally there is a Eucharist to celebrate a feast day.
We also have special services to celebrate the major feasts of the year; often these are at a different time, so please check the website.
You will always be most welcome at any of our services,
whether a life-long Christian, or someone looking to explore the beginnings of a faith in God.
